Migration has shaped my family’s history, with ancestors traveling across oceans and continents in search of new beginnings. This April, as part of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge (#AtoZChallenge), I’ll be sharing their stories—one letter at a time.
From long voyages by sea to overland treks, each post will focus on the journeys themselves—the routes they took, the challenges they faced, and the experiences along the way.
I last participated in this challenge in 2017, and after a long break, I’m excited to return! Join me as I trace the travels of my ancestors, from A to Z.
This is a very cool theme! Can't wait to read all about them :) The Multicolored Diary - 2025 Theme Reveal

Thanks for visiting.
DeleteThanks for stopping by, I look forward to rolling up my sleave and getting through this challenge, but I'm not brave enough to do a double theme like your attempting!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a very interesting theme. I don't think I know enough different journeys taken by my ancestors to fill the alphabet. Look forward to reading yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Kristin, thanks for visiting, I'm using the challenge to movtivate me to do more discovery about my ancestor journeys. It's been a facinating process. I hope that it come accross in my posts during April
DeleteSounds fascinating. Looking forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah you RPG, or role-playing game characters sound interesting, I like your focus on the supporting cast. In family history the minor characters often get overlooked but the more rounded out they are in our stories the better the entire story becomes even if they are not the center of attention. I look forward to reading your A to Z blog posts
DeleteG'day Sandra,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a theme. Those of us living in Australia have lots of migration stories.
This is my first time in the challenge and my theme is ancestral places.
thanks for dropping by Sue, it looks like we are planning (although things often change during the challenge) to use the same place for our Z bloggs. Intrigued to read your entries during the challenge.
DeleteMigration is interesting to read about.
ReplyDeleteMy theme is at https://artmater.com
Hi Cai, thanks for popping by. My additional challenge is not to write too much, migration is such an interesting subject and trying not to fall down rabbit holes can be quite challenging. BTW I love your webiste and look forward to visiting it during the challenge.

Hi Jennifer nice to meet your. I am also on Substack but I've decided to use Blogger as it's easier for people to pop in and see what's happening during the Challenge. I tend to more involved article on Substack. Check it out at https://sandra251118.substack.com/ I've only just started there but it can be difficult getting my head around everything.
DeleteHow intriguing! I look forward to reading the journeys!
